Our Story

Even in our humble beginnings Myrna’s Boots ’N’ Bits has been helping people look and feel good about themselves since September of 1974. In March of 1986, we opened our first storefront located on 810 Research Road near Midlothian Turnpike. For eighteen years this location served as Richmond’s source for all English and Western apparel and tack. As Richmond has grown so too has Myrna’s Boots ‘N’ Bits, we once again found the need to expand into an even larger space—this time to the other side of Midlothian Turnpike. Our 17,000 square foot building, located at 1112 Carmia Way, opened its doors for business in June of 2003. It is this location where we still offer a wide selection of tack and apparel. This includes English style for the most discriminating horse enthusiasts and western style for those who appreciate the western lifestyle. We carry English brand names like Ariat, Breyer, Charles Owen, Kerrits, Tipperary, Troxel and many more. We also carry Western brands such as Ariat, Carhartt, Wrangler, Panhandle, Roper, Scully and more. Our passion for horses and horse-related activities has a long history and will continue to do so in the future.

We each bought a pair of Ariat work boots at Myrna's last Saturday. As realtors, my business partner and I definitely need them for showing beautiful Virginia horse farms to our clients. So far these are the most comfortable work boots I've ever worn...
